Promise is a Promise: Time for Action to End Violence Against Women.
Violence against women prominent all over the world and is a major health issue globally. According to WHO around 35% woman have gone through sexual abuse or a victim of violence which includes partner and non-partner violence.
30% woman of who have been in a relationship was a victim of physical/or sexual violence by their partner. Globally 38% of women murders was caused by their inmate partner.
As this statistic above shows the women being a victim by the men in the act of violence. The concern about women violence has become alarming. Therefore, it is very important to ensure well being of women by the society. It is almost every alternate day or everyday there is a rape news and there is nothing much to do by the government to prevent such act. Moreover, girls are being trafficking to a different country for sexual pleasure and therefore be a victim of violence. The porn industry is keeping girls through blackmail and to play horrendous act.
As a matter of fact the question arises what causes violence against women, it is due to inequality in the national level such as education, freedom to marry, work opportunities, salary etc. This inequality becomes a perception of inferiority which leads to violence against women. Therefore equality should be practiced in every country to bring about nonviolence.
